Paris, France — Bambi is one of the most endearing characters out of our childhood story books and later on Disney Studios. The beloved story of a roe deer fawn began back in 1923 when Austrian author Felix Salten published Bambi’s Life in the Woods, the first in his 10-book Bambi’s Classic Animal Tales. Salten loved nothing more than the mountains and forests of Austria and Bambi’s Life in the Forest is clearly a powerful anti-hunting story. The Disney film hit the screens in 1942 and is considered one of the house’s great classics known for its lush and lavish hand-drawn animation. Bambi has come to Paris in an enchanting exhibition of art works by Michaël Cailloux celebrating Bambi and the 100th anniversary of the creation of Salten’s internationally renowned story.

The show is being presented by the Galerie Nathalie Béreau from October 17th until the 22nd in the Espace Chapon at 17 rue Chapon in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. The works in the show illustrate Bambi, la véritable histoire (Bambi the True Story) a book by Michel Larrieu, illustrated by Michaël Cailloux and published by the French house of Éditions Delachaux et Niestlé. It is a touching adaptation of the original and will be available in bookstores on October 20th. The art works, in myriad mediums are captivating, and take us back into the wonder realms of childhood. Special to The Gourmet Gazette https://www.michaelcailloux.com/
