Being Batman

Paris, France — It’s that time of year again, a day dedicated to one of DC Comics most famous superheroes. Batman Day is being celebrated by fans around the world on September 16th. Batman remains the legendary caped crusader to this day. Special celebrations are being held throughout the world. In Paris, a special Batman Day, for example, is on the agenda in the Boom Boom Villette  shopping mall bordering on the Villette Park on the eastern edge of Paris. A multitude of events are on the agenda, reminding us that Batman lives on forever. The Batmobile will be on the esplanade in front of the mall. Escape Games with two immersive experience, The Joker and the Batcave, are bound to be a hit while conferences, quizzes, readings, screenings  and Superman himself are all part of the plan. The Grand Rex movie theatre in Paris will also be projecting Batman movies throughout the day.

In the United States special screenings of Batman movies are being held throughout the county. Comic shops will be releasing the Batman’89 collection and have the official release of the next Black Label series Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham. London is hosting its Batman Unmasked Event. Citizens of Gotham (New York City) and of the world honor Batman’s legacy on this fun-filled day that celebrates the pop culture icon. This day is celebrated across the globe due to Batman’s popularity in TV, film, and comics. The first Batman Day was held on July 23rd, 2014 and since then it has been celebrated on the third Saturday of September. Batman Day was established by DC Comics, Warner Bros and DC Entertainment.
