Paris, France — Paris Couture week enjoyed another fine crafted and sparkling show from Stefan Djokovich which unfolded in the elegant reception rooms of the residence of the Serbian ambassador to France in Paris last July 4th during Paris Fashion Week. The designer’s Fall Winter 2023/2024 couture collection showcased elaborate embroideries, sumptuous colors and fabrics, fluid and solid at once, as the designer sought to present the symbols of the legend of the Firebird.

The bold strength and great golden flames that are associated with the mythical bird were rendered in an assortment of fine feathers, sumptuous sequins and emboldened embroidery. We particularly enjoyed the flow of the couture outfits as well as the striking colors of black, gold, red, orange, yellow and a magnificent fuchsia. The mysterious and elusive Firebird with its golden feathers figures in a number of Slavic tales often coming to someone’s rescue be it a noble or a commoner.  The Firebird is one of the most beguiling creatures of Slavic myth. And this couture collection by Stefan Djokovich beguiles as well. Special to the Gourmet Gazette.
