Paris, France — Feathers, rhinestones, high end fabrics, blacks and whites and grey, dreamy blues and greens  all added up to a beautiful collection entitled The Song of the Oceans inspired by the seven seas for the the House of La Métamorphose ’s Fall Winter 2023/2024 couture collection that flowed down the runway at the American cathedral in Paris during Paris Fashion Week last July 3rd. The 25 models offered a feast of oceanic colors and evoked shimmering swells, fantastic froth and wonderful waves as the collection’s chiffon dresses complemented by corsets embroidered with pearl patterns offered up a dreamy and romantic view of couture. Chiffon, hand sewing, highly original beading and a bevy of blues and greens evoking the color of the ocean were hallmarks of the show and demonstrated that the house is clearly a house of haute couture. We particularly appreciated the drapés in a clear nod to Madame Grès and the midnight blue sequins. And chiffon is one of those great fabrics, elegant and totally versatile. And there is more.
