The beautiful Christmas Trees of the Creators is underway for the 24th time this year with leading names in French luxury, design, architecture and fashion creating unique one of a kind pieces to be auctioned off to benefit cancer research under the patronage of Professor David Khayat, the head of the cancer department at the Clinque Bizet and the founder and president of the charter of Paris against cancer.
Organized since 1995 the event, Les Sapins des Créateurs (The Christmas Trees of Creators) has federated leading houses around a charitable cause. Each year upon the invitation of the association’s president Marie-Christiane Marek, each house creates a unique Christmas tree. Since its inception the event has seen more than 800 Christmas trees exhibited and has raised some 1.1 million euros for charitable causes. Christian Dior, Swarovski, Emanuel Ungaro are just a few of the houses participating in the event.
The houses and businesses of the Avenue Montaigne Committee have lent their support to the cause for seven years now and the public exhibition and the private auction are held in the Plaza Athénée with the free exhibition running from November 23rd through to November 25th. The Christmas trees are auctioned off in a private auction by the auctioneer Rémy Le Fur.
